Bio
Pets and animals possess the unknown passions of the world. They lift us up when we feel down; they make us smile when we cannot. They are, for some, the binds holding us together. They bring the community closer and have been known to cure loneliness. I deeply hold this passion for all animals as well as my own precious one's.
I have been around animals my entire life and have adopted plenty of rescue animals. I recently worked, as a Veternarian Assistant, and received plenty of medical knowledge from an excellent teacher. I would love to be able to bring all these passions and skills to your pet friends while you are away, busy, or not physically able to take them for well needed walks. Contact me and we can talk further. Thank you for your time.
Work Experience
25 Years as an Owner for/of Dogs
I grew up with dogs and cats and was able to get unique experience when I visited my Grandmother, currently a pet sitter but once ran a shelter for all kinds of animals.
25 Years as an Owner for/of Cats
3 Years as an Owner for/of Reptiles/Amphibians
Luther is his name. My first rescued snake I found living under poor conditions. Sooner or later Luther, a California King snake, became part of the family. He loves to hang out in our warm lanai and on my lap under a blanket.
15 Years as a Petsitter for/of Dogs
Pet sitting started when I was very young. I would go with my Grandmother on her sitting jobs to help care for her clients. Taking her teachings, I incorporated my work experience and education to become who I am today, a passionate pet sitter.
15 Years as a Petsitter for/of Cats
1 Years as a Vet/Medical Professional for/of Dogs
I have received an excellent education from a local veterinarian. One on one contact with the patients and clients has greatly improved my medical knowledge and emergency care skills.
1 Years as a Vet/Medical Professional for/of Cats
6 Years as an Animal Care Professional for/of Birds
As an Assistant Curator at Sarasota Jungle Gardens,I received a great deal of experience caring, socializing, and medicating many different birds from small contures to extra large macaws, and even rescued birds of prey, such as a red shouldered hawk
1 Years as an Animal Care Professional for/of Fish
I worked with fresh and salt water fish: cleaning, feeding, and of course, admiring them for their unparelleled grace and tranquility.
6 Years as an Animal Care Professional for/of Reptiles/Amphibians
I have extremely enjoyed working with many reptiles/amphibians: from turtles to tortoises, various species of snakes and lizards, and even alligators and crocodiles.I took pride in educating the public about them while employed at Jungle Gardens.
6 Years as an Animal Care Professional for/of Small Mammals
At Jungle Gardens, I cared for rescued prairie dogs, ferrets, goats, horses, and even Australian wallabies. Rabbits, guinea pigs, and hampsters were a few small mammals I grew up sitting for.
2 Years as an Animal Care Professional for/of Other
Working at Jungle Gardens, I received hands-on experience with rescued primates, such as ring-tailed and brown lemurs, spider and squirrel monkeys. Daily enrichment activities to enhance the animals lives were relished by both human and animal alike.
