My family has owned cats all of my 22 years. I currently have two cats, both of whom are 8 years old this summer, and one of which is diabetic. I give Zachary, my diabetic cat, insulin injections twice a day to regulate his blood sugars.
In the past we have had a lab, who unfortunately died of cancer at age 11. I now help my sister with her Chihuahua and Pomeranian on occasio, and feed and clean the cage of her dwarf hamster when she's gone.
