Bio
I am highly sensitive to the needs of animals whether in tip top shape or with challenges to face.
Tender Loving Care is key so...TLC IS FREE!!!
Full time work for family vacations or other events that are considered. I will discuss potential needs for this kind of work with the owner on an as needed basis.
Willing to learn and research any information to help pets with special needs
I consider pets family members and treat them as such unless the owner has set boundaries, in which case I will assess these situations and use my judgement about whether I can deliver indifferent care because it has only hurt me to visit alienated animals in the past. Some cases are different when the dog is a working dog. This is different and essential to police work, etc..
Will follow instructions relating to medicine schedules/special needs eg. behavioral
Willing to research behavioral issues I am in the process of gaining the First Aid/Emergency Life Support Course offered by SITTERCITY's allegience with Petco to better serve potential canine/feline problems that we all know can arise at any time.
I am reading up on Hip Dysplasia because my own dog is at risk due to his breed and color. I cannot say that I have experience with it...I will be ready as I can to become experienced with this. I am educating myself and will follow any instructions given for pets that suffer from this problem in anticipation of it being part of our future as well. I am aware of this issue.
My dog has cataracts, so I am learning day by day how his world is changing. I am not yet experienced with a completely blind animal. I do think about it every time he looks at me with those searching eyes of his and have been trying to keep things arranged such a way that keeps him safe and calm. I don't rearrange my furniture in certain rooms anymore so that his home stays his "home" no matter whether he can see it. We play in the hallway so that he remains protected from protruding objects. He does bark at things differently as time passes. I sense his fear sometimes as well as confidence that remains. He is brave and clingy! This is as far as my experience has come with his condition.
I am highly sensitive to the needs of animals, whether in tip top shape or with challenges to face.
