Pet sitter - SARAH B. (User #321)

Hello my name is Sarah and I have lived in a household with pets my whole life whether we had dogs, cats, iguanas, lizards and at one time a quinea pig, I enjoyed taking care of them all. I always wanted to be a Vet until I realized how much money it was and so now I am in Nursing School.

Right now I am in a house with a beagle and greyhound mix and a cat. We are watching two dogs of the family also. So it's a crazy yet calm and nice place to be.

I worked as a Vet-Tech (never got certified) in Brookline for 1-2 years, for a Cat Hospital.

I use homeopathy, herbs and natural supplements for my dogs and cat in my house.

I can give SubQ fluids and insulin, and take care of wounds if needed.

I ask for 20 per visit (no longer than 1hr.) for one pet* and an additional 4 dollars for each additional pet.

*Daily rate may change depending on your needs, and the pet(s) you have.

Sittercity felt these were the main tasks to do at each visit and I will include them in the per visit rate:

Petsitting typically includes feeding the pet, making sure he has fresh water, taking him outside for exercise or playing with him indoors, giving the pet love and attention, scooping the litter box, administering medicine(depending on what needs to be given additional charge of $2/pet may be asked, cleaning up any pet messes, etc. 

Petsitting also includes invaluable housesitting tasks as well, such as watering plants, adjusting the lights/drapes so it looks like someone is home, bringing in the mail and taking out the garbage on trash day.

I work 11am-7pm while I am on break which is until Jan 13th, 2008. I am working in Waltham and am willing to drive up to 30-45 minutes but will charge for gas for each visit. As of gas prices now, $3 for 15 miles per visit. So If you are 15 miles away I would add on $3 per visit, if you wanted two visits a day that would be an additional $6 per day.
