Introducing Sittercity’s Pet Matchmaking!
We match parents with babysitters, pet owners with petsitters and care seekers across the country with other types of caregivers — but why should humans have all the fun? Sittercity is pleased to announce the newest of its networking services: pet matchmaking.
Using CreatureMatch technology along with our dating site model, Sittercity is now able to play matchmaker for pets in all cities across America.
“Not all pets get along with each other,” says Sittercity founder and CEO Genevieve Thiers. “We see this in our own office: Our two dogs love each other, but one of them doesn’t seem to like any other dogs. We thought it was time to create the world’s first pet matchmaking site so that owners don’t have to deal with the anxiety of wondering, ‘Is my pet ever going to find his soul mate?’”
Sittercity’s new pet matchmaking division allows pet owners to fill out pet dating profiles from their Sittercity pet care dashboard. Owners can characterize their pets personalities (from timidly shy to outrageous diva), their playtime preferences (from couch potato to wild maniac) and much more. Note: Sittercity encourages all pictures posted to be recent — if Fido has packed on the pounds recently, he needs to let Fluffy know before she meets him in person.
“Humans aren’t the only ones who need help in the hook-up department,” says Thiers. “Sittercity is thrilled to be able to bring love to our furry, feathery and scaly friends.”
